The five stars include Reza Kianian, Amir Jafari, Pejman Bazeghi, Sara Bahrami, and Nasim Adabi.
Each of them will appear in two films in the Soda-ye-Simorgh competition section of this year’s edition of the festival.
Reza Kianian is taking part in ‘Metropole’ and ‘Sima’s Unfinished Story’ that will be vie in the Iranian event, while Amir Jafari is appearing in ‘Hook’ and ‘They loved Me’.
Nasim Adabi is also taking part in ‘They loved Me’, in addition to ‘Open File’ that is also starring Pejman Bazeghi. The other Fajr contender that stars Bazeghi is ‘Captain’.
Meanwhile, Sara Bahrami’s ‘Orange Forest' and ‘After Departure’ are also among the films that will compete at the FIFF.
This year, the domestic and international versions of the FIFF will be once again held as part of one event titled “Fajr International Film Festival” after five editions of separate versions.
The Fajr festival coincides with the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Since its establishment in 1982, the festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.
The 41st edition of the FIFF, headed by Mojtaba Amini, will take place on February 1-10.
